Stellantis has issued a recall for 1,834 Jeep vehicles in the UK amid safety concerns over an electrical fault that could cause fires. This UK recall is part of a larger global recall affecting approximately 1.3 million Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator models manufactured between 2021 and 2025.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the US confirmed the recall covers 787,887 Wranglers and 289,112 Gladiators. The problem stems from the electric hydraulic power-steering pump wiring, which may overheat and potentially ignite a fire—even when the vehicle is parked.
Vehicle owners are strongly advised to park their Jeeps away from buildings and other cars until repairs are completed. Stellantis has emphasized its commitment to customer safety, offering free inspections and replacement of the affected wiring harness and power steering pumps.

A Stellantis spokesperson explained, “Our internal investigation found that certain 2021-2025 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator models may experience an electrical connection issue in the power steering wiring. While the risk is rare, overheating can lead to fire hazards.”
The recall is a proactive measure to prevent any incidents, with dealers handling repairs at no cost. Owners of the affected vehicles should contact their local dealers promptly to schedule inspections and remedies.
