Another UK travel company, Groupia Ltd, has entered administration, resulting in the cancellation of holidays and bookings. Specializing in group trips across the UK and Europe—ranging from hen and stag parties to weekend adventures, spa days, and ski trips—Groupia has now shut down.
Operating under several brand names, including Groupia Golf, GoHen, StagWeb, Groupia School Trips, and Company Away Days, Groupia Ltd officially went into administration on June 16. According to their website, Nigel Fox and Christopher Marsden of S&W Partners LLP were appointed Joint Administrators.
The company has ceased all new bookings. However, arrangements are in place with ABTOT, the UK government-approved travel protection scheme, to assist customers with existing reservations. For events scheduled on or before August 31, ABTOT expects these to proceed as planned. Unfortunately, bookings from September 1 onwards have been canceled, with customers advised to submit refund claims through ABTOT.

Groupia is the latest of seven other UK travel businesses that have ceased trading in 2026, including Regen Central Ltd, Gold Crest Holidays, Asiara UK Ltd, Simply Florida Travel Ltd, Trav Expert Ltd, Strachan Travel Ltd, and Travel Bespoke Ltd. This brings the total number of collapsed firms to 13.
Founded officially in 2002, Groupia’s origins trace back to 1999 when founder Simon Denning struggled to find a reliable travel provider for diverse-sized groups. His experience inspired the creation of StagWeb, the company’s initial brand. Over the years, Groupia grew into a family of brands that have served more than 750,000 clients, earning a reputation for simplifying group travel arrangements while maintaining affordable prices.
