Nationwide, the world’s largest building society, is once again preparing to reward its customers with Fairer Share bonuses, with payments of £100 potentially arriving this June for those who qualify.
Having distributed these bonuses in 2023, 2024, and last year, Nationwide has expressed its intention to continue the scheme into 2026, pending financial performance. An official announcement is anticipated next month.
In previous years, customers needed to meet specific eligibility criteria to receive the bonus. Typically, this involved holding a qualifying current account and either a savings balance of at least £100 or a mortgage of at least £100 with Nationwide as of the check date, March 31st.

Nationwide spokespersons explain, “If you bank as well as save or have a mortgage with us, you could benefit from our Fairer Share Payments. Some members have already received up to £300 since 2023.” They add, “We aim to make an annual payment, but the amount and eligibility may vary based on our financial results.”
Once confirmed, the payments are expected to be credited to eligible members' accounts during June. Nationwide customers are advised to stay tuned for the official update next month outlining full details and criteria for 2026 payments.
