There’s something truly special about heading out for a pub lunch with family or friends, especially when the destination is a charming, award-worthy spot. Yet, finding that perfect place to eat can be tricky without a trusted recommendation.
Fortunately, the regional shortlist for the National Pub & Bar Awards has just been revealed, highlighting some exceptional pubs in the West Midlands that might be new to you or fondly remembered favorites.
This year’s nominations include hidden gems such as The Wildmoor Oak in Worcestershire, The Boot Inn in Lapworth, the Fitzherbert Arms in Staffordshire, The Old Wharf Inn in Stourbridge, The Old Joint Stock in Birmingham, and The Prince of Wales in Ledbury. The grand finals will be held on June 10 in London, where 94 county winners will be announced along with highly commended venues from each region. Additionally, the coveted Industry’s Choice Award, selected by a panel of over 400 industry experts, will be revealed in a prestigious Top 10 format.
Tristan O’Hana, editor of Pub & Bar magazine and host of the awards, shares, “Our bigger and better format, which debuted in 2025, was such a success we can’t wait to roll it out again this year. From the long Easter weekend celebrations honoring this year’s county nominees through to the awards night in early summer, these events are a true testament to the spirit of this wonderful industry.”
“We want to do everything we can to spotlight these brilliant establishments,” he added.
