After nearly seven years since its collapse, Jamie Oliver’s iconic UK restaurant chain, Jamie’s Italian, is making a highly anticipated return to the high street. The first new flagship location opens this Wednesday, March 11, on Irving Street in London’s vibrant Leicester Square.
Jamie Oliver, the renowned celebrity chef and Channel 4 presenter, expressed his excitement about the relaunch. “I’m beyond thrilled to open Jamie’s Italian once again. It’s been quite the journey, but the support from our fans has been truly humbling,” he shared.
The restaurant promises a menu bursting with bold flavours and exceptional ingredients, capturing the essence of Italian cuisine. Customers can expect a blend of timeless classics and modern favourites, crafted to bring the joy of sharing great food to every table.

Jamie also playfully encouraged loyal fans to bring along any old memorabilia, promising a free bowl of pasta or Ravioli fritti as a thank you. “It’s my way of saying a massive thanks for sticking with us. See you at the table!” he said.
Whether it’s for a pre-theatre dinner, a relaxed lunch, or a late evening meal, the Leicester Square venue aims to provide the perfect setting for gathering, sharing, and savouring delicious food.
Looking ahead, there are ambitious plans to expand the chain with up to 39 additional branches, aiming to reach a total of 40 locations across the UK.
James Brown, CEO of Brava Hospitality, called the Leicester Square launch a “huge moment” and highlighted the group’s vision: “Our ambition is to bring world-class Italian dining to the heart of the UK high street. This marks an exciting new chapter.”
