After six years of delighting bubble tea fans across Birmingham city centre, the popular New Street branch of T4 has permanently closed. Renowned for its signature drinks, the teal-colored storefront now bears a clear “To Let” sign, marking the end of an era at one of the city’s busiest locations.
Earlier this year, customers noticed the T4 website went offline and its phone line was disconnected, fueling speculation about its future. A handwritten sign posted on the shutters read, “CLOSED. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” confirming the closure during the holiday season. Meanwhile, T4’s last Instagram update was made on Halloween 2025, with customers expressing confusion over the sudden disappearance from delivery platforms.
Though the future occupant of the New Street premises remains unknown, the area is buzzing with new developments. On the same street, Amorino, an ice cream café famed for rose-shaped gelato, is preparing to open its doors. Additionally, Yiamas, a Greek eatery and deli, is set to launch nearby on Lower Temple Street. While exact opening dates for these establishments are yet to be announced, they promise fresh culinary experiences for Birmingham locals and visitors alike.
