BBC Traitors Star Reveals Insight on Dagger Twist Ahead of Roundtable Drama

Just hours before episode 10 of The Traitors airs, former contestant Paul Gorton has delivered a surprising insight into the latest dagger twist shaking up the game. Paul, 38, from St Helens, who was a fan favorite during series two, has now weighed in on who might be handed the coveted double vote dagger at the upcoming roundtable.

In last Friday’s episode, host Claudia Winkleman unveiled the next strategic element—the fabled dagger. This powerful tool can be given to any player, including the traitors themselves, granting the holder a double vote at the roundtable, dramatically influencing the outcome.

Speaking on behalf of WhichBingo?, Paul acknowledged the challenge the dagger presents this season. “It’s really tricky because everything’s so unpredictable and chaotic,” he explained. “The safest move is to give it to someone who won’t vote against you, someone likely to target another player instead.”

Paul analyzed key competitors who might receive this twist. He noted Jade, who is currently under suspicion by many players. “Jade’s got a lot of heat on her, so naturally others targeting her could be the dagger’s recipients. But since the dynamics can change instantly, it’s a tough call.”

James also emerged as a strong candidate in Paul’s opinion. “James hasn’t accused Rachel, and he’s close with Stephen, who he believes isn’t a traitor. Plus, James’s erratic behavior means even if he uses the dagger vote, it might not decisively eliminate someone.”

Addressing the possibility of the traitors keeping the dagger for themselves, Paul was skeptical. “It’d be tough for two votes alone to remove someone, and holding onto the dagger might inadvertently reveal the traitors’ identities.”

Ultimately, Paul concluded that the dagger must be handed to a quiet player unlikely to dominate discussions. “You can’t give it to someone strong,” he advised. “They need to stay under the radar.”

As fans eagerly await this pivotal roundtable, Paul’s expert predictions add a fresh layer of intrigue to the unfolding drama on The Traitors.
